Greetings

Since our founding in 1967, we have grown in step with the evolution of the semiconductor industry for more than half a century. In April 2023, we embarked on a new chapter as a member of the SUMCO Corporation group, a global leader in silicon wafers for semiconductors, committed to creating new value within an increasingly dynamic industry landscape.
Including our origins as the Yokkaichi Plant of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, we have for over five decades supplied high-purity polycrystalline silicon and high-purity chlorosilanes—the essential raw materials for semiconductor silicon wafers—from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture. As our operations expanded, we extended our production footprint to Suzuka City and to the state of Alabama USA, delivering our products to customers around the world. Our deep roots in the local community, coupled with our sustained partnership with the semiconductor industry, constitute one of our greatest strengths.
Our materials serve primarily as feedstock for semiconductor silicon wafers and ultimately underpin nearly every aspect of modern life—from household electronics and computers to smartphones, advanced communications infrastructure, and automobiles across a broad range of applications.
Looking ahead, we will continue to play a vital yet often unseen role in supporting the growing demand for semiconductor silicon wafers. By nurturing relationships of trust with our local communities, we remain dedicated to enhancing everyday life and advancing digital technologies on a global scale.
President and Representative Director Hirokazu Tamura
